Royal families are supposed to have at least two daughters, according to custom, which dates back more than 60 years. It is appropriate for a couple to have three or four children, but it is completely up to them. Most royal families, by the way, only have two children. Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh are the only couple who have wanted to have more children. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are now expecting their third boy, following in their footsteps.
