The stars descended from the heavens to bestow glamour and fabulousness on an exhausted planet populace who didn’t know how badly they enjoyed such same things for way too long in the desert. Are we getting a little carried away with the 93rd Academy Awards? Yes, that’s right. Can you accuse us, though?

With the hope of a more intimate ceremony set in Los Angeles’ Union Station, the need for social distancing, and the somewhat inconsistent style attempts during this locked-down awards season, no one understood what to expect from this year’s ceremony. Although, much to our delight, the stars must have sensed our mutual need for glitz and glitter, because they came out in those absolutely memorable ensembles.

Here are a handful of the most memorable, as well as some of the most spectacular, as well as a few that didn’t quite land, if you know what we say.

The director of One Night in Miami opened the ceremony with a strut through Union Station, obviously feeling her look and projecting trust, strength, and drop-dead gorgeous elegance.
